Dümmen Orange has added Dahlia Summer Bees Red Bicolor to its Summer Bees series including potted Dahlias that are known for their bee-friendliness and ornamental value.
Dutch plant breeder and propagator Dümmen Orange has confirmed its presence at the forthcoming IPM Essen show, which will take Essen, Germany, between the 28-and 31 and will showcase new introductions to potted Dahlias, Calibrachoa, Pericallis and Dianthus.
The stand will feature a range of well-established plants alongside several new introductions. Visitors can also enjoy quality coffee while engaging with Dümmen Orange’s team to discuss trends and innovations in the floriculture industry.
Joining the successful Summer Bees series, the Dahlia Summer Bees Red Bicolor is known for its reliability and ornamental value. The variety also provides a food source for pollinators from summer through autumn. With strong branching and abundant flowers, it is a versatile plant for mixed plantings and a standalone feature in containers.
The Calibrachoa Rainbow Hot Pink offers a unique feature where the flower colour changes depending on temperature and light conditions. This creates a dynamic colour display on each plant, adding interest throughout the summer. With cultural properties similar to those of the Aloha Kona series, this variety is easy to produce and complements the existing colour range of the Rainbow series.
A new addition to the Mandala series, Pericalis Mandala® Blue Bicolor stands out with its striking flower colour, which contrasts strongly with dark foliage. The variety also benefits from good branching, making it a visually appealing choice for consumers.
The Dianthus Sprint Red and Proud combine red petals with a touch of pink, offering a fresh colour combination that works well for various occasions and events. The combination of strong red and soft pink provides a balanced aesthetic.
