DE LIER, Netherlands: Breeder Dümmen Orange today announced that it has divested its stake in the sales of its speciality roses to Parfum Flower Company.

The agreement enables Dümmen Orange to focus on its core business: the breeding and propagation of ornamental crops. Parfum Flower has more than 225 types of special rose varieties in its range. The company does not auction, but works with a worldwide network of more than 400 exporters, wholesalers and florists.

Dümmen Orange’s speciality roses are marketed through Parfum Flowers’ extensive global network. Reinoud Hagen, Managing Director Cut Flowers at Dümmen Orange: “We get commercial feedback on our offer much faster because of this. We use the market insights we gain in this way to further develop and select varieties that meet the needs and wishes of our customers. ”

For Parfum Flower, the speciality roses from Dümmen Orange are an excellent addition to the existing range of garden, fragrance and spray roses. Parfum Flower will supply the products in various units and compositions to the exporters, ready-to-use for florists. Wouter de Vries, managing director of Parfum Flower Company says, “Our mission is to be the best in sourcing and supplying the most beautiful roses. For us, this is a very nice and appropriate broadening of our portfolio, with the added advantage that the cooperation with Dümmen Orange brings us much closer to the breeding source. ”

Dümmen Orange previously entrusted the sale of the production of standard roses and gerberas to the Dutch flower company L&M Group. Reinoud Hagen: “Thanks to our agreements with L&M and now also with Parfum Flower, we are bringing clarity to the market about our core activities and the focus on our breeding capacities.”
