Delphy expands into Africa

Delphy, the Dutch knowledge sharing organisation and service provider for cultivators around the world (formerly known as DLV) has confirmed substantial investments to expand its knowledge sharing, training, capacity building and consulting activities in Africa.

To cater for a growing demand among African growers and farmers and to allow expansion into more countries, Delphy has divided its Delphy Team Africa into two working groups effective of March 1, 2019.

Delphy’s strategy in Africa aims at achieving growth of:

• core activities (knowledge development and knowledge implementation) in countries where local Delphy staff are present (Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Ethiopia)
• Latia (Kenya), a local crop development centre for East Africa
• local Delphy networks in other African countries

Delphy assists cultivators, provides training programmes and gives advice on-site and online. The company uses modern technologies and employs a team of 200 consultants and crop experts whose know-how extends to nearly all agricultural fields.
