Cut foliage and tropical flowers supplier Penja joins forces with grower’s cooperative Rosedor

VELINES/ PARIS, France: Rosedor, a grower’s cooperative and a wholesale distributor of flowers and plants (running 9 cash and carry stores across France) has acquired Penja, one of France’s leading suppliers and importers of cut foliage and tropical flowers. The merger will allow both companies to increase their product portfolio and optimise logistic costs.

Jean-Philippe Landrieu and Jean-Yves Francois, who founded Penja 35 years ago, are delighted to be part of the Rosedor family of growers and flower and plant distributors as it will give Penja access to the products of Rosedor’s cooperative including nine flower growers across France. As such Penja will add gerberas from the Lot and Garonne, tulips from la Sarthe and peonies from Brittany to its range of products.  Penja will also benefit from economies of scale by using Rosedor’s extensive distribution network.

In turn, tropical flowers from the usual to the very unusual, sourced worldwide, are now forming part of Rosedor’s unique offering.

Rosedor’s Benoît Picot, responsible for the sales in western France, stresses that Penja will continue to sell under its own brand name.
