BOGOTA, Colombia: Event organiser and Proflora director Cristina Uricoechea announced that this year’s Proflora show in Colombia will not happen but will instead come back between 4-7 October 2023.
Proflora is a production of trade body Asocoflores which has continually reviewed government advice and guidance to access the feasibility of running its show. And after much deliberation the organisers have decided they will sadly not be able to run the event this year.
“Proflora gathers the world’s leading producers, exporters, buyers, sellers, suppliers, and service providers of the flower industry. It is one of the best international showcases of Colombia and involves a huge commitment. Therefore, and in view of the global health uncertainty conditions generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, we consider that in Proflora we must give priority to people´s safety. Thus, we have postponed the event,” ,stated Augusto Solano, President of Asocolflores.
Proflora is Colombia’s premier horticultural trade show, held every two years. The event attracts sizeable number of international exhibitors and visitors.
