LES PONTS DE CE, France: Syngenta Flowers and Chalon-sur-Saône celebrate the event by preparing a surprise at the arrival of the 7th stage. When the peloton arrives in Chalon-sur-Saône on July 12, the thousands of spectators will be surrounded by flowers from Syngenta Flowers, set in a theme of the Tour de France.
“A few weeks ago, the city of Chalon-sur-Saône started producing Sunfinity sunflowers, Begonia Tophat Red and White Impatiens Imara White and Ipomoea Sidekick Heart Lime”, says Christine Besson from Syngenta Flowers. “We have only selected yellow, red, white and green flowers. Keeping these colors in mind, fans of the Tour de France surely have an idea of what we have in mind with these flowers.
The flowers are presented in the well-known theme of the Tour de France jerseys. And the local fans won’t be the only ones to see that. “We urge everyone watching the Tour de France on TV to pay extra attention on July 12 from 4.30 pm”, says Christine. “When the drivers compete for the victory in Chalon-sur-Saône, all the flowers can be seen from the sky!”
