Bookings are flying in for 2022 International Garden Centre Association (IGCA) congress

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands: Next August’s International Garden Centre Association (IGCA) congress already has 200 confirmed delegates with less than three months to go.

Bookings are looking healthy for the 2022 IGCA congres staking place in Amsterdam between 28 August – 2 September 2022. Currently, almost 200 delegates have confirmed their presence.

IGCA’s Annual Congress is the ideal networking platform where garden centres can connect and exchange ideas, information and resources with like-minded members anywhere in the world.

The 2022 IGCA congress will include company tours tot 10 Dutch garden centres, including destination garden centres such as   Intratuin Barneveld, newly-built garden centres such as Tuincentrum Abbing, and genuinely plant focused garden centres such as Plantencentrum Velden.  This eclectic mix of companies assures everyone can find ideas and tips which can be applied once back home.

Apart from the garden centres tours, IGCA will travel to some outstanding breeders and suppliers. On Tuesday, the tour will have dinner and Schoneveld Breeding, a breeder of Cyclamen, Primula and Ranunculus. The ELHO factory in Tilburg will also be visited. ELHO invested a lot in sustainability and will give a presentation on how they made this happen.

Apart from this, there will be multiple cultural visits in and around Amsterdam:

  • Rijksmuseum
  • Van Gogh museum
  • Canal tour
  • This is Holland!
  • Floriade 2022

And for those who want to see even more stores, a self-guided retail tour in Amsterdam will be available as well on Wednesday afternoon.
