Dutch Bercomex is to launch its Tulip Picker at this week’s SMTB Mechanisation taking place between 14-16 January 2025 at the Greater Amsterdam Expo convention centre in Vijfhuizen, the Netherlands. The Tulip Picker is a paradigm shift in fully automised tulip harvesting.
It is claimed that Tulip Picker is an “intelligent machine that fully automates the harvesting of tulips. This innovative solution makes tulip harvesting easier, faster, and more efficient.”
Mechanisation that not only offers important labour cost savings but also a way to ensure a consistent flow, prevent bulb damage and retain defective bulbs in the container.
The machine operates independently of container type.
The Tulip Picker helps growers work faster and more cost-effectively. The machine operates fully automatically, eliminating the need for manual labor to empty containers. It ensures consistent quality and supply and is designed to minimise damage to the tulips. Moreover, the system is compatible with most existing processes.
In their stand 2B.01. Bercomex will showcase how investing in a Tulip Picker can help make the life of tulip forcers easier and more profitable.
The SMTB Mechanisation Exhibition runs from 14 to 16 January and is designed for inspiring, innovating and connecting commercial bulb farming, bulb flower forcing and perennials production.
