Returning for its autumn edition this August, bringing together an exciting and comprehensive collection of some of the world’s finest potted plants, nursery stock products and autumnal offerings such as pot mums and Hebe. It is the Florall show in Belgium, which celebrates 30 years in business this year.
If you haven’t already done so, make plans to attend Florall, Belgium’s premier horticultural trade show exclusively for industry professionals. The one-day event will take place on Tuesday, 20 August, at Waregem Expo, Waregem, Belgium.
Florall is the definitive Belgian meeting place for growers, arboriculturists, garden centre retailers, plant brokers, wholesalers, cash and carry stores, landscaping companies, exporters and purchasing organisations. Near to 80 growers from home and abroad will show their autumn range to industry professionals. New plants will be in the spotlight at Florall’s autumn edition, with the Innovation Area near the main entrance showcasing the latest breeding breakthroughs.
Florall offers a Phyto licence training session for garden centres and contractors in the morning and the afternoon.
As Florall celebrates 30 years in business this year, a set of special activities adds to the festive mood, including a Best in Show Awards Ceremony in the evening. The latter will see the launch of the first-ever Florall Pearl Award, recognising a Florall award-winning plant variety from the past that, over the past 30 years, has proven unrivalled beauty, reliability, and a strong ranking in the plant industry.
Florall will conclude with a Happy Hour on Tuesday, 20 August, at 5.30 pm, after Florall’s closing ceremony. A special gift on the occasion of the show’s 30th anniversary will be presented to attendees when going home.
The news on Florall’s forthcoming edition coincides with the show organiser’s announcement that “Florall is also aiming for a new direction in the coming years. During a thorough vision exercise, Florall identified its five strongest assets. These five assets will determine the future course of the trade fair.” At the time of printing, it was not yet clear what these strategic steps would entail or what the ultimate goal was.
