Australian Production in Focus at AIPH Meeting Sydney 2026

Delegates attending the AIPH Meeting Sydney 2026 will have the opportunity to explore Australian ornamental horticulture beyond the conference setting through a structured programme of professional visits on 11–12 March.

Organised by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) in partnership with Greenlife Industry Australia, the visits provide practical insight into how Australian growers and institutions respond to climate change, biosecurity requirements and changing market demand.

The first day focuses on South-West Sydney. Stops include Tim’s Garden Centre, offering a perspective on retail trends and plant selection in a competitive consumer market; the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, where conservation, native plant research and landscape management are central; and Andreasens Green, a large-scale wholesale nursery supplying commercial and residential landscape sectors across Australia.

On the second day, delegates travel to the Blue Mountains region. At Oasis Horticulture, one of the country’s largest bedding plant producers, discussions focus on production planning, variety management and distribution across a dispersed market. Visits to Echo Point and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah, offer more context on horticultural practice in sensitive, cool-climate conditions.

Together, the programme offers international growers and industry leaders a structured opportunity to examine production systems, retail dynamics and landscape stewardship within the regulatory and climatic realities of Australia.
