Each year, Italy’s National Association of Nursery Stock Exporters (ANVE) invests money into graduate students and the research they are pursuing. The annual Stefano Capitanio Graduating Awards, in remembrance of ANVE’s late co-founder Stefano Capitanio, are intended to recognise and reward top-achieving horticultural students and encourage them to continue their study.
To be considered for the scholarship applicants must have taken their bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in the academic year 2021/2022. Applications close on 4 May 2023. ANVE encourages applicants to focus on socio economic aspects of the nursery stock industry, plant health, trends in landscaping, European legislation, the socio economic impact of Covid-19, and risk management in nursery stock growing.
Applicants will be notified on 27 May 2023 on the occasion of the XV National Day of the Mediterranean Nursery Stock Industry, to be held in Monopoli, Puglia.
Applicants will be assesed by a panel of expert judges representing a cross-section of the industry.
