2021 Independent Plant Breeders Conference offers great opportunity to learn and network

CITRA, USA: Presented by the University of Florida’s Plant Science Research and Education Unit (PSREU), the 2021 Independent Plant Breeders Conference will bring together plant breeders, scientists, students, propagators and brand and patenting experts from 3 -6 November to connect face to face and share information to get new plants into the industry.

The conference provides budding and well-practiced plant breeders the opportunity to learn from other experts and peers in the field. Discover new techniques, how to protect your intellectual property rights, and soak up some inspiration for your next breeding season.

Lectures will take place Thursday and Friday at the PSREU farm with a  full day of tours on Saturday stopping at the Kanapaha Botanical Garden, Liberty Health Sciences and the Sweetwater Wetland Park.

Please join in on a welcome reception of hors d’oeuvres and beverages the evening of Wednesday 3 November and a closing reception at Harn Museum of Art on the night of Friday 5 November.

The conference is at the PSREU farm in early November because it offers a venue that has significant indoor conference space and outdoor recreational space.

The organisers will be providing sanitation, masks and ventilation at PSREU.

On behalf of the organising commitee, professor Dave Clark wants to remind you that the deadline for registration for the Independent Plant Breeders Conference is October 1, 2021.
