HAMBURG, Germany: CIOPORA is extending its CIOPORA Academy education program with distance learning offerings in the form of webinars. The first two webinars will cover Intellectual Property (IP) regimes of two major horticultural markets and producers, China and USA. The webinars will broadcast live with two 1.5 h sessions each to cover all time zones. The webinar registration starts on October 1 and is open to all seeking to enhance their knowledge of IP for plant innovations.
“Today, the horticultural business is a truly global enterprise and so is the knowledge that green businesses must bring to the table,” said CIOPORA Secretary General Dr Edgar Krieger. “With the CIOPORA Academy webinars, we are excited to offer a quick, comfortable and cost-effective solution to horticultural businesses looking to increase their capacities and knowledge of IP for plants.”
The program will connect horticulturalists and IP experts on all continents minimizing cost and time expenditures often associated with vocational training. In addition to the CIOPORA Academy on-site events, such as workshops on October 20 – 21 in Madrid and November 4 – 5 in Amsterdam, the webinars will present an accessible opportunity to learn about IP for plant innovations and help raise awareness on the topic and its most pressing issues throughout the green sector.

CIOPORA is a member-based, non-profit organization.
