Jess Halliday
Jess Halliday is Chief Executive of RUAF CIC and coordinator of the RUAF Global Partnership. She leads RUAF’s involvement in the CGIAR Resilient Cities Initiative, the RUAF-FAO City Region Food Systems Initiative, and the Urban Futures programme. Her main areas of expertise are urban and city region food systems governance, food environments, gender and inclusion, and multi-stakeholder processes. Jess draws on her academic background for the development of methodologies and tools for urban and city region food systems, having received her PhD in Food Policy from the Centre for Food Policy, City University London, in 2015.
Jill Edmondson
Jill Edmondson is Professor of Ecosystem Sustainability in the School of Biosciences Plants Photosynthesis and Soils Cluster at the University of Sheffield. Her research focusses on the sustainability of urban and agricultural ecosystems exploring the interactions between soils, plants and the ecosystem services they provide to a growing global population. Her work explores the hidden potential of urban horticulture to support food production and wider benefits to society. She has embedded knowledge exchange and co-design into her research to ensure the outcomes deliver real-world impact.
Gabriel Olle Dalmazo
Gabriel is an agronomist and employee of the Municipal Secretariat of Food Security and Nutrition for Curitiba, Brazil. Gabriel has both technical and practical expertise in Curitiba’s Urban Agriculture program, which won the ‘Living Green for Urban Agriculture & Food Systems’ category of the AIPH World Green City Awards 2024.
