MC – Gil Penalosa

Gil Penalosa is passionate about cities for all people. Because of his unique blend of experience, pragmatism, and passion, he has worked in over 350 cities. Gil is the Founder and Chair of the successful Canadian non-profit organization 8 80 Cities and founder of Cities for Everyone. Gil was elected twice as chair of World Urban Parks. He holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, received a Doctorate Honoris Causa from the Faculty of Urban Planning at Swedish SLU. In 2023 Gil was voted to Planetizen’s Top 100 Most Influential Contemporary Urbanists, at #13.

Dominic Regester

Dominic Regester is Director of the Center for Education Transformation at Salzburg Global, where he is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs on the futures of education. He works on a broad range of projects across education policy, practice, and international development, including as a Director at the Amal Alliance, as a Senior Editor for Diplomatic Courier and as the Executive Director of Karanga: the Global Alliance for Social Emotional Learning and Life Skills.

Antonieta Peregrina

Antonieta is a regenerative urbanist and coordinator of the Pacto con la Tierra at Huerto Roma Verde. Here she leads the development of the Centro de Acopio Regenerativo and the activation of Communities. As director of UR – Urbanismo Regenerativo, she collaborates with COMVIVE in implementing neighborhood-scale sustainability plans, such as the regenerative model for Privadas del Parque, integrating bioclimatic design, green infrastructure, and community participation into residential development.
