MC Robert Howard
Robert Howard is the Master of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners. He was a governor of Capel Manor College in Enfield for a decade. He joined the Court of Common Council of the City of London in 2011 as a Councilman, before joining the Court of Aldermen in 2015. At the City Corporation he has served on a number of committees including Open Spaces and the Education Board. He is the Lead Member for Environmental Education.
The City Corporation manages and protects over 11,000 acres of historic and natural open space within and beyond London, including Hampstead Heath, Queens Park, Epping Forest and Burnham Beeches. This natural environment is rich in wildlife habitats and provide places for recreation and enjoyment for the people of London.
Robert has worked in the City since 1993 at Charles Stanley & Co, a leading wealth manager. He is married to Magdalen and has three daughters. They live in Hackney.
Victor Muñoz Sanz
Víctor Muñoz Sanz is a Mexican-Spanish urban designer, researcher, and educator. Currently, he is an assistant professor of urban design at TU Delft, where he coordinates and teaches urban design studios and leads critical research on productive landscapes, urban economies, and technology. He is the author of the books Reconnecting Cities, People, and Nature: Exercises in Urban Design (Birkhäuser, 2025), and Una Rápida Compañera (Bartlebooth 2024), as well as co-editor of Automated Landscapes (Nieuwe Instituut, 2023), Roadside Picnics: Encounters with the Uncanny (dpr Barcelona, 2022), and Habitat: Ecology Thinking in Architecture (nai010, 2022). Víctor qualified as an architect at the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM, 2006) and holds a Master of Architecture in urban design, with distinction, from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2011) and a PhD cum laude in architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (2016). In addition to his academic work, he has collaborated with offices such as Burgos & Garrido Arquitectos and Porras Lacasta in developing urban design projects like Madrid Río.
Luo Dan
With over 30 years of unwavering dedication to land greening and ecological protection in Chengdu, Mr. Luo Dan has been recognized for his exceptional contributions with a Second-class Merit from the Forest Public Security Bureau of National Forestry and Grassland Administration and as an Advanced Individual in Building the Upper Yangtze River Ecological Barrier in Sichuan Province.
Since his appointment as Deputy Director of the Longquanshan City Forest Park Management Committee in 2017, he has been instrumental in shaping and executing Chengdu’s key ecological policies. He played a leading role in the creation of the Chengdu Action Plan for Large-scale Greening Across Sichuan and the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Government’s Guidelines on Longquan Mountain Urban Forest Park Construction.
Under his leadership, Chengdu’s “Green Heart” has flourished. He has championed major initiatives, including the annual “Adopt-a-Mountain” afforestation program, which over seven consecutive years has resulted in the planting of over 1 million mu (approximately 66,667 hectares) of new forest. As both a participant and a witness of the “Urban Green Heart” initiative, Mr. Luo has been central to the transformative green development of Chengdu.
Chengdu’s Urban Green Heart Programme earned the city the title of Grand Winner of the AIPH World Green City Awards 2024.
