AIPH Event Code of Conduct

AIPH wants everyone who comes to an AIPH event to have a great experience, whether they are attending, speaking, sponsoring or working with or for us on the events.  Our focus is on creating and providing an environment and experience that everyone can participate and benefit from.

AIPH believes that safety, respect and consideration are key to providing this and by sharing the expectations in place for the events, wherever they are held, will ensure that everyone plays their part in making the events a welcoming space for open dialogue and professional exchange.

This code of conduct provides the expectations of AIPH, anyone who behaves in an unacceptable way will be asked and expected to stop doing so immediately, in some cases being asked to leave the event.

Respectful and Safe Environment

  • AIPH want everyone to be able to participate fully and engage in our events in comfort. Disrupting all or part of any event, whether physically or verbally in a sustained or deliberate way goes against this.
  • Please do not deliberately prevent others from participating in any portion of the event, this includes interrupting or disrupting presentations, discussions or talks or having loud  personal conversations.
  • AIPH have zero tolerance towards any verbal or physical threats, violence, abuse or harassment, or intimidation both in person and on digital platforms.
  • Never act in a way that puts your own or other participants’ health, safety or security at risk.
  • Review health related rules set in place by the local Government before attending and follow any requirements
  • Follow all health, safety and security processes, including emergency procedures and protocols, set in place by venues, professional businesses and AIPH, following their requirements.
  • Please remember when attending an AIPH event you are representing yourself, your company/association/institution and AIPH, please show respect to others, property and the local community.
  •  As an organisation committed to championing the Power of Plants, AIPH encourages attendees to make environmentally responsible choices, including using sustainable transport, carrying reusable food or drink containers, reducing waste, recycling where possible, and donating unwanted conference gifts.
  • AIPH provide guidance on event attire and, as an international organisation, asks participants to choose attire that is appropriate for the event setting and to be considerate of fellow attendees, local customs, and cultural norms.
