67th AIPH Annual Congress, Stresa, Italy

Dear member,

I am delighted to be able to invite you to the 67th AIPH Annual Congress to be held in the beautiful lakeside town of Stresa near Milan in Italy on Tuesday 20th to Friday 23rd October 2015. In addition for Board members there is a Board meeting taking place on Monday 19th October.

This year’s Congress will provide members with an insight into the Italian horticultural industry as well as a unique opportunity to visit the Milan World Expo before it closes at the end of October. We have developed a stimulating programme of talks and discussion which, along with professional visits in the area, will send you home with many things to share with the industry in your country.

The Congress will take place in the Regina Palace Hotel in Stresa. This beautiful hotel beside the magnificent Lake Maggiore will provide a tranquil setting in this popular tourist destination and it is only one hour away from the centre of Milan. In addition to the World Expo visit members will enjoy tours on the lake, a visit to the famous Villa Taranto Botanical Garden as well tours of nurseries and a horticultural college and research station. The main Congress dinner on 21 October will include a boat trip to Isola Bella’s Palace and Garden, set to be an unforgettable experience.

Accompanying persons are also very welcome and can enjoy a tour programme specifically organized for them including a trip to the centre of Milan and attractions around the famous Lake Como.

The provisional programme for the congress is attached with this letter. Documents will also be updated within the members area of the AIPH website at www.aiph.org/login/. The agendas of the committees will be made available through the website and by email from the AIPH Secretary General in due course.

We look forward to welcoming you to Stresa and to hosting a successful AIPH Annual Congress.
